Collective Wellness Group is excited to announce Anytime Fitness Australia has renewed its Master Franchise Agreement with Anytime Fitness Franchisor LLC for a further 15 years.

The agreement also includes an additional 15-year option, giving Collective Wellness Group the ability to continue with the business until at least 2053.

Since beginning operations in 2008, Anytime Fitness Australia has gone from strength to strength, now with a footprint of more than 540 clubs across the country and 600,000 members.

Co-founder and Chair of the Collective Wellness Group, Justin McDonell said he was thrilled to continue the commitment to the Anytime Fitness business for at least the next fifteen years.

The journey so far has been incredible. We’ve changed many, many lives for the better, including members, franchisees and employees,” McDonell said.

“The network has grown to a size that I never imagined would be possible when we first took the plunge to bring it to Australia. That growth would not have been possible without the hard work, trust and investment from our franchise network, which is something I’m perpetually grateful for.”

“We’re not resting on today’s success though, far from it. Our team are hard at work, collaborating with our friends at Anytime Fitness USA on key initiatives to continue improving our consumer offer, to keep growing our market dominance, and to ultimately keep striving towards our mission of being Australia’s most welcoming gym.”

Co-founder and Director of CWG, Richard Peil said he was confident the brand would continue to go from strength to strength.

“Anytime Fitness Australia is as strong as it has ever been, commercially and community-wise. We’re at our highest ever customer number, having recently surpassed the amazing milestone of 600,000 members Australia-wide,” Peil said.

“We’ve also got more locations open than we’ve ever had before, currently 542.

What impresses me most though is the resilience and perseverance of our franchisees. I personally know exactly how hard the last two years have been for health club owners. Despite the headwinds of the pandemic, the network has pushed through, and now finds itself healthier than ever. I’m also very proud of the Support Office team, they consistently achieve great results in key areas.

All things considered, the decision to renew our Master Franchise Agreement for another 15 + 15-year term was a genuine ‘no brainer’, and I can’t wait for the journey ahead.”

Collective Wellness Group remains committed to changing the lives of Australians all over the country and looks forward to continuing its commitment to the Anytime Fitness brand.
