Anytime Fitness Australia passes significant milestone

Anytime Fitness is celebrating a significant milestone surpassing 600,000 members in the brands 14th year of operating in Australia. 

In recent months the brand has witnessed record numbers of Australians joining their local Anytime Fitness club helping the network deliver on its ambition to be Australia’s most welcoming gym network. 

In 2008, Collective Wellness Group co-founders Justin McDonell and Richard Peil launched Anytime Fitness in Australia, disrupting the market with a 24/7 concept, providing a viable business model for franchisees, and an affordable fitness option for Australian consumers. 

Collective Wellness Group CEO Nicole Noye said it was pleasing to see Anytime Fitness Australia continue to go from strength to strength. 

“I am delighted to announce that we have reached this amazing milestone of 600,000 members,” Noye said. 

“It is an outstanding achievement and testament to all the amazing members that belong to our Anytime Fitness Australia family.” 

Co-founder Justin McDonnell said he was excited by the momentum of the brand. 

“It’s great to see that 600,000 Australians are members of AF clubs across the country. Anytime Fitness is a network of small business owners via our franchise model who deliver a great member experience,” McDonnell said.

Richard Peil, Anytime Fitness co-founder said he was in awe of the impact Anytime Fitness is having upon the lives of everyday Australians. 

“What an achievement in a population of less than 26 million people,” Peil said. 

“We are only just over halfway to our overall goal of impacting the lives of over one million Australians.” 

In its 14 operating years, Anytime Fitness has grown to become the largest gym chain in Australia, with more than 540 clubs and 600,000 members.
