Anytime Fitness launches first app-based PT training platform in Australia

Working late, in a different time zone, or just a night owl? Can’t train with your PT face-to-face? Now you can get a personalised fitness regime straight to your phone thanks to Australia’s leading gym franchise, Anytime Fitness.

The new Remote Coaching service is the first app-based platform of its kind in the world and it’s just arrived in Australia, providing Anytime Fitness members with the option of accessing guidance from their very own personal trainer (PT), via their mobile device.

Anytime Fitness members can use the service to connect with a designated PT, who will act as their ‘Remote Coach’. Communication between coaches and their clients will be facilitated via the Anytime Fitness app platform, which includes the Anytime Workouts and MapMyFitness apps.

“This is an exciting innovation for Anytime Fitness because it responds to the individual member. Wearable technology or manual tracking options can be used alongside workout logs to track members’ performance and progress, providing Remote Coaches with key insights and feedback. Coaches are then able to continually develop customised workout plans for their clients, all within the app,” says Kate Allott, National Fitness Manager at Anytime Fitness.

Remote Coaching is an ideal option for members who are after a personalised fitness regime, but in a more flexible manner than a traditional PT session. It can provide a wealth of advice, from healthy eating tips to recommended exercises or new workouts that the trainer knows will help their client achieve their goals.

The service removes the requirement for face-to-face interaction and reduces the contact time between PTs and their clients, making training more accessible for those with busy working lifestyles. Members can also select to combine Remote Coaching with PT sessions for periodic check-ins for measurements or face-time.

“We’re committed to making fitness more convenient and more accessible for our members. It’s the reason we keep our doors open 24/7 and provide our members with access to over 480 clubs Australia wide. The new Remote Coaching feature is a flexible way for our members to train with a PT, when and where it suits their own schedule, and making it easier for them to achieve their goals,” says Arthur McColl, CEO at Collective Wellness Group.

The Remote Coaching platform complements Anytime Fitness’ existing Anytime Workouts app with over 1,100 workouts and more than 2,700 exercises for members to test, try and master.
